Hi folks,
just to be the bearer of more bad news: a transfer (BACS) that I put through on Monday morning before it all kicked off has been cancelled and gone back into icesave as a correction:

Same here, mind you I'd rather it is there, rather than out in the ether somewhere.
I'd advise all to check, print the statement and save the screen.0 -
Same here, except that the ISA withdrawal has not gone back in.
Not surprising as there's no account to put it back into, as Icesave closed the account when it was withdrawn.
What happens to this money?0 -
Same here !
Transferred 50K Sunday night 20.15hrs, all cleared+processed by Tuesday am only to find today "correction item 50K back to ICesave".
That's theft as has been argued here before obviously.
It's obviously in our Government's interest to fully compensate us because we would surely all put these savings in UK banks thereby "lubricating" banktraffic in the UK further ??
When can we claim ??
Thanks.0 -
I too have a BACS transfer stuck - my Icesave account is still open but the money is still showing as being somewhere in cyber space

Similar situation here. Several transactions made from two different accounts on 6th and 7th. Money has bounced back into one account and not the other yet.0

I made two transactions (last Friday and last Monday). As a result of this my account was closed. When I tried to access my account yesterday on the internet, I was locked out. I eventually spoke to customer service and they confirmed my account was closed and the two transactions had been processed. Reading other messages on this site it seemed clear that my transactions might have been reversed. Just spoken to customer service again and they confirm my Icesave account has been credited with the two reversed transactions. Can I access my account on the internet - no? They promise me it will be reactivated shortly and I will be able to log in as usual. They also say the site will shortly have advice on the process required to recover our money.0

Just checked mine. The saving's account's showing, but not my isa, which has been closed....
Luckily I did a print on Monday after put the transaction through... Very dissappointed for the icelandic government, too selfish.:eek:0 -
Just checked my account and the amount I transferred out on Friday evening - 11K (to go on Monday) had not been credited back in (I only had £950 left). However, I called Icesave just now (easy to get through) and the transaction has been reversed and my account has been credited so I have £12K in the account now. I will be able to log in later today or tom to see it. They told me the systems will be updated throughout the day, so everyone who made a transfer after Friday will get their money back into their accounts.
Now it is simply wait and see and find out if the bank will be made insolvent or not and how we can all get our money back.

Same situation as earlier posters. BACS withdrawal made Monday, acknowledged as processed, then today statement showed transaction reversed under wonderful euphemism "correction item posted"
E-mailed Icesave questioning legality of this only to receive automated response that they are not processing deposits or withdrawals and apologising for any inconvenience. I hope our government will pursue this issue of legality and compel the Icelandic administration to publish a response.0
