I am a tax payer and don't have an icesave account, but I certainly DO resent seeing our government giving handouts to those rate tart dopes who lost their money in that toy bank. .

For crying out loud, the Govt seized 4 billion worth of assets to cover 3 billion worth of liabilities. The taxpayer is not out of pocket by a single penny.

Plus, I would imagine that a large percentage of the money eventually paid out will be 'loaned' back to the Government through NS&I. :D

What a complete ignorant !!!!!! you are  .

I've not made many posts on this forum but have read it alot recently due to ICESAVE, moneysavingexpert seems to be inbreed central :rotfl: :rotfl: , oh oh Martin, Martin you are god.

People put money in savings to SAVE, by definition its supposed to be the 'SAFEST OPTION'. If it makes you feel better pointing and laughing at people than you are a sad little person if, I feel sorry for you.

People can vent their frustration in my direction if they like. What you can not do is make things up about me. I have never pointed and laughed at anyone. Quite the the contrary. I have tried to help them. I - and many others on this site - warned that Icesave were about to go bust. And no one wanted to know. Those who did take the trouble to warn others, were dismissed and abused - the intensity of the abuse was so great that I thought people had gone mad. And I think they probably had. I also - before Icesave went bust - posted an analysis of the FSCS compensation scheme. Again, I was greeted with a barrage of abuse, so bad that the administrators had to remove it.

However, Justtakeallmymoney, if you want me to point at you and laugh at you all, that can be arranged. How about this? There are some dolts who think that the compensation scheme, like the First World War, will be all over by Christmas. I don't myself think that it will be all over by Christmas 2009. And any deadbeat loser who has £50,000 in Icesave is losing over £8 a day in lost interest. As for the £50,000, inflation is just EATING away at it, to the tune of over £7.50 a day. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Merry Christmas, y'all.
