deleted my documents

while trying to organise my laptop i have gone and deleted my documents with lots of photos/music etc,is there anyway of recovering them?

    recycle bin should be on your desktop, if not, follow http://support.microsoft.com/kb/810869 to restore it. If my documents folder isn't in it, try downloading http://www.filehippo.com/download_recuva/ and see if it finds the folder, then restore it back.

    i used filehippo and no luck,documents were deleted with absolute file shredder and i think they are beyond recovery.

    The only other thing is do you do regular backups? If so, restore from there.

    Just add something else here...

    Unsure if system restore would work, but if you run Vista, have you tried restoring your desktop, assuming the my documents folder was on there.

    Or you could download www.recovermyfiles.com which will show you what it can recover, but you will need to pay £35 for a licence key before you can restore anything.

    i have about half of my photos still in my kodak share software/cd and iam trying to transfer them to my documents but its not happening
  • You can try out file recovery software.I have recentaly lost my file due to accidental deletion used the Stellar Phoenix file recovery software.This software helps me to recover my data.This software demo version is free in which you can see the preview of your recoverable file.This software has GUI interface which makes it very easy to use.
