Cards that were taken before the rules changed don't have a fee. As you have had yours for a year there will be no balance transfer fee.
It doesn't matter whether you are a 'new' or 'old' Egg Card customer, no-one currently pays a BT fee for the anniversary offer.

The only time a BT fee is payable is...

Introductory Period - for post-1st May 2005 applicants

'Special Promotions*' - for both 'old' and 'new' Egg Card customers

    * These tend to be personal invite offers. Check you haven't been personally invited for one before doing your anniversary month BT's.

Inspector Gadget, you mentioned egg do this offer every year on the anniversary of when you opened the card which in my case is March, however I believed they would only do it twice for each customer, I have already taken advantage of it twice already, can someone clarify if this deal is open ended or limited to 2 goes please. I have a large sum on Virgin's 0% and this would allow me to extend my 0% period for another 5 months without applying for another card (its getting more difficult to find 0% cards which offer a decent credit limit, its almost like they know what we are up to :) )
Thanks in advance for your help
I see that you got an answer. Sorry I didn't reply, but only just read the forum messages as I was away.

  • Can you believe it. Last year nothing. Totally missed the anniversary deal. This year, I thought it would be the same, but unelievably they telephoned me at home tonight to remind me about the 0% 5 month anniversary offer. Told her thanks, but did it 4 or 5 days ago!

I wonder if they'll call my wife to remind her too?

EGG are NOT telling their EGG Card (The Green one) customers when their individual Balance Transfer anniversary offer month is.

I got two emails (one when the anniversary month started, one near the end to remind me it would end soon), had to get past a page when I logged in to the Egg website reminding me and then there was an image at the bottom of my account page again reminding me - I was pleasantly surprised that they had gone to that amount of effort. Didn't they do this with everyone?
