woolworths online

Woolworths online help!
Hi I have a problem with woolworths online,
On the 21st September I ordered the double silentnight cerise chillout bed for £339.00 I paid and recieved confirmation e-mail and delivery date of 8th October .
I tracked the order every day which still confirmed delivery tommorrow.
I e-mailed woolworths today to check it was still coming and they e-mailed back saying it was.
At 3.30 today woolworths rang me to say the bed was'nt coming as the supplier could not give them a delivery date and would I accept a refund as they cannot give me a delivery date the woman said that she would take the refund if she was me as delivery could not be guarateed.
I told her I would phone her back as the bed is for my daughter.

The bed is a cerise pink colour all over with couch shaped headbords on 2 corners and as my daughter has autism she picked this herself because of the colour and shape.
We also decorated her room to match the bed and I recieved a grant from the familyfund for new wardrobes so her room was all brand new.
I decided to phone Silentnight direct to query this and they informed me that supply is not a problem and that:confused: they could not find me order through woolies. They said the bed is made to order and they could deliver within 2 weeks as soon as woolies sent them the order.
Silentnight also said they sell the bed for £549.00 which is £200 dearer than woolies.
I phoned Woolies with this info and asked to speak to the manager who informed me that silentnight did not give them that info when they contacted and that he would look into this and ring me straight back.
Up to now he has not rang back but what I need to know is have I any rights concerning this sale as I think woolworths undercut themselves with this price and are not going to honour this and I cannot afford the £549 from silentnight .
My daughter is going to be so dissapointed anyway now tommorrow and I think Woolies are just fobbing me off Please help me what to do next

Might be worth contacting trading standards as they have not behaved very well and worth reporting. You might find they will provide you with the bed after they intervene.
No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Its not on the website anymnore so i guess they have stopped selling it, unfortunately you cant force them to sell it to you, if money has been taken then you may be able to sue them for "loss of bargain" not sure you can tho, im sure someone else will be along soon

Woolies home delivery is a real nightmare. Went through one of those myself.
Bought a nursing chair when I was pregnant. Didn't get it for a month, after being told they'd lost the first order, there were delays, after numerous emails and messing about. Then we tried to build it up, and the screws were missing ! So we rang to get some screws, and were told they would send some. Nothing for a fortnight. Packed it all up and sent it back. Had it gone wrong we would have had trading standards involved. Their service is just apalling !

    Hi Angy

I'd say Woolworths were definitely at fault here.

I ordered a grey single chill out for my son back in July and was given a lead delivery time of 3-4 weeks and an estimated date. In that period I received a letter from Silentnight confirming a delivery date ( earlier that Woolworths had quoted) and I got a call from them a few days before the date it was due to make sure everything was ok to go ahead.

Sounds like someone at Woolworths didn't process the order properly, I hope you get it sorted as its a fab little bed and my son loves his :)
