i just had to go back to this post from earlier as it really struck a chord with me. Methusala said something that i think i will take away from this place (as well as hopefully the cash!) now, i don't claim to know alot about this stuff... but this line "knowing im one of many" being a help in a seemingly lonely situation is quite a big deal i think.
if you just take this a step further and look at the wider picture... all the personal challenges we face are unique to each of us (kinda like the relative value of each of our savings i suppose) BUT each of us is just that - one of many who are all in the same big boat we just don't know where we all are! if we remembered these words each time we were a bit down, flat, lost or upset and could find at the same time all the other people who were also down, flat, lost or upset... we just might be able to deal with things a little better.
this thread has made me realise (and i do mean realise in the true sense of the word) that out there are lots of other people just like me with exactly the same issues... and if i had a thread i could turn to for every moment in life when things got a bit tough with a bunch of other humans also trying to solve the problem - god life would be easy!
so remember kids... they're (we're) all out there! somewhere
hahahaha, sorry to go all daft. it must be the beer. but i think i mean it
I guess that’s the beauty of forums. You can socialize without reference to race, religion, size, sex or political flavour. :T0 -

One thing I'm going to sort out after tomorrow is how to use all the different jumpy figures and bits and pieces and how to quote previous posts etc etc - that's in between all the things I've been a bit short of time for this week! Great tree colours this autumn!KE veteran - life seemed so much simpler then!0

To quote a post, just click on ‘quote’ bottom right. To use emotions, just click on the emotion you want and it will appear at your cursor. Try it with this one.0 -

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!0
