I called icesave in newcastle at 8am and talked to really nice guy (they are up there as i am also) not his fault at all and he told me that any transfers done yesterday by chaps etc they were told to hold and so any closed accounts will be re credited -check on line the account tonight as the funds all in icesave holding account.

yes the govt should help we all paid tax on savings to them.

still we have to keep this icesave action group going .

I've been around polititions all my life and Darling didn't exactly say that. Yes he implied it so lets hope we're not being misled. Some of you people stand to lose so much and my heart goes out to you. If this goes badly, I stand to lose £90K. Makes me want to get on a plain and leave it all behind and to hell with conforming to society, living a good life, doing for others, being legal etc etc... sorry friends, just a bit dispondent right now...

This has been worrying me too as I have not been able to use up all of my ISA allowance this year. I would be interested in an action group who address this sort of matter as well as the deposit return.
