Cost for accessing hotmail via blackberry

I've been given a blackberry which I would like to be able to use to check my hotmail emails. I am with Orange and they have said to get this feature added to my contract will cost £7.50 for 6MB for an 18 month contract.

I'm happy to have another contract with any of the other mobile firms if they have better packages available and with more data allowance. I don't need to be able to serve the internet, just check my hotmail emails during the working day. Can anyone advise me please?
