What area are you looking in?
If its any comfort, this happened to my son last year - and he thanks gawd it did now. He was gazumped on a flat at £185k - recently similar flat, better position was offered to him at £170k and he has turned that down and gone for a much bigger flat, better position for £160k.0 -

We've only been on the market a few weeks and have had several viewings, one came back for a 2nd viewing, but his wife wanted a bigger kitchen (Our kitchen/dinner is a fab size, 19ft I think, so goodness knows what she's expecting!)

Well we have found a new build 3 bed detached which is double the size but 60k more..mm im not sure if its safe to touch new builds at the moment0
