Brown calls crisis meeting tonight

You don't think Brown's meeting is a substitute for doing something do you? He seems to have been doing little else for the last few days.0

Doomed.
We're all doomed I tell ya!0 -
It's all very well all these meetings, but I fear that Brown will simply tonight be discussing the fact the British banks' share prices are falling so considerably. I doubt very highly he will become involved in anything to do with Icesave this evening.0

I would hope that today they will increase the protection limit to something closer with that of the USA. I believe for UK standards 50k is hardly enough. Am sure "many" people have much more than that0

Over the last 11 years sitting in Downing Street, what else did Brown do apart from bankrupting the British economy?
Vodafone sucks. :mad:0 -
If Brown and co think that their actions (other than the order to print more money) are going to have any significant effect, they will be deluding themselves.0

To be honest I would vote for the Raving Loony Party if they were still in operation as they can't do any worse job than Labour has. Mr Brown has been way too slow in dealing with this crisis and instead waiting for financial system to be looking into the abyss before even stepping forward. We elect politicians to take action, not to just talk about it and then hide under the bed, hoping it will all go away.0
