A good idea. Unfortunately I'm at work so don't have my account details to hand. Double annoyingly I don't have a printer at home, so I won't be able to do this til tomorrow. Who knows what the situation will be by then!0

To be on the safe side, log in tonight, and use the "Print Screen" button (normally over to the top right-hand side) on your keyboard to take a snapshot of your statement - you can paste into a word document, or in microsoft paint. That way you will have a record, in case something has happened by the time you log in tomorrow at work.
Good luck to all Icesave savers - I am leaving my funds in KE for now, but am watching like a hawk...

While it's fine to have a personal record of your account, either in a screenshot, printout or xml/cvs of the data, this will do nothing to safeguard you.
You can't hand over a printout to the FSCS and expect that to be that- they'll write to you, they'll more than likely know more precisely what you have than you will at the time of it going bust.
Now I don't know weather the comp scheme covers interest gained but not paid (for yearly payments etc) but you're not going to be made to account for all this by yourself.
If the website shut down tonight never to return a printout isn't going to get your money back.
Good advice OP but let's not let people think this will realistically help in any way.0 -
'Print to file' is even better so that you could print on paper whenever you wish.
Hope my pre-arranged transaction will still be carried out.Vodafone sucks. :mad:0 -
I did this myself last night, largely because I had no idea how much money I had in there!
As a follow up to XXXX - to those without printers that wish to do this, if you are running Windows Vista you can go to the normal print dialog and choose XPS Document Writer, which will save a file as if it were printed. Those on other operating systems there is a free PDF printer called PDFCreator available, this will do the same but save in a PDF format.0 -
Cheers thanks for the advice. I'd assumed it would be all locked out!0
