Sorry for delay- been very unwell all day!
I think Uggs last longer then pretend Uggs, I have had mine for over 5 years now. They still have not folded over at the heel, still have plenty of wear left in them, this means I paid about £25 a year to wear the boots I bought back in 2004.
Bargain I think.
Don't knock it till you've tried it!
I have more than 20 pairs of shoes in my wardrobe half of which I have had for much longer than 5 years. Most are 'expensive' brands, Camper; Ecco; Cat; John White; Rockport etc. that I bought 'cheap' in the sales; most cost around £30 and none cost more than £50.
As a none driving pedestrian they get an awful lot of use in all weathers.
That's what I call a bargain0 -

Right I've been a long time user of this site just not posted. Now being male i know nothing about uGg boots apart from my wife would like some. Had a look in shops and price varied from £160-190 for Suede ones that looked like they would last about 5 minutes in our wet climate. So after a frank discussion where I said I didn't think they were worth the money she talked herself out of them.
Now had i been sensible I should of walked away there and spent the money on something useful like beer or wine however christmas is coming and she would really like a pair. I found some sturdy leather uGg boots called kensington look decent in "toast" which i believe is Brown to us male members. Then the problem hard to get hold of and £250 in shops here or £225 on e-bay. Again not paying that I thought after much searching and trying all sorts to get them at the best priceI found Nordstrum I'm a newbie so can't post the link but google should find it easily for you. The boots were a very reasonable £123 when added to the basket and with shipping and pre pay of import duty and vat worked out £192 delivered and duty paid. Now theres a £50 pound saving already.
Luckily have a bit of spare cash so spoke to some friends told them about the site and they liked the boots so rather than order one pair have ordered 4 pairs for just under £600 now that works out at £150 a pair which is a £100 saving. even if you only want one pair the other ones will sell on e-bay for £200-£225 buy 4 sell 3 and you've got your set free?
Anyway thanks for reading if you find them cheaper please don't let me know i'll be upset lol but only for a short while
I just bought those boots too! Same colour and styleGood choice (though mine were from ebay and cost £10 more than your £150 so good bargin hunting on your part!!)

Has anyone had any dealings with shoe-store.net?
Looking to purchase ugg classic tall chestnut but not sure if this is a genuine UGG Australia product?

Ah- but I'd bet they don't feel as good as my Uggs do.
I think you must be interested, else you wouldn't be on this thread. Sorry, don't believe you when you say your not, something from here has caught your attention.0 -
I have to laugh when I see headlines like "Genuine Ugg Australia." I am quite surprised at Martin being willing to market these fraudulent products this way.
Please note that:
- "Genuine Ugg Australia" boots are MADE IN CHINA
- they are not Australian
- they are not even made using an Australian company. They are bought from China by an AMERICAN company called Deckers.
Genuine, Australian made Ugg boots can be bought from Australian companies like Mortels. Google it, this site won't let me post a link.. Please, please don't help to perpetuate this nonsense. Including you, Martin! The very word "genuine" in all this is an affront. If what I said helped you, please "Thank" the relevant post. It cheers me up somewhat..0 -

I have just bought a pair of genuine bailey button boots for £139 including delivery from Treds (15% discount), I would never buy any uggs that appear to be fake after I was ripped off by the site, uk-ugg-boots. After receiving a dodgy confirmation email from a chinese hotmail account, they sent me the wrong boots! I was aware when buying that they were fake, but the only way of contacting them was through a contact form, they didn't bother replying! Only buy from a site with a uk telephone number, at least then if you do have problems trading standards will be able to help.0

Being made in Australia doesn't alter the quality of the boot, they're still Aussie sheepskin and have very high quality control standards (and in fact some are made in New Zealand, does that make you feel better?).
Anyone who has worn genuine boots will know straight away why they've paid for them - I have a few pairs myself, and yes I'm a man, they're incredibly well wearing and very comfortable. It's easy to forget you're wearing them and I often have mine on in the house.
If you want to buy a cheaper pair then expect the soles to wear unevenly and get used to the feel of synthetics rubbing on your feet. For anyone not want to be ripped off, note that Ugg have updated their site with the some fake-spotting info: http://www.uggaustralia.com/retailStores/counterfeit.aspx. After all if you're going to spend a reasonable amount on a luxury product you should at least know you're getting the genuine, hard-wearing, product.0 -
I really like the Nightfall/Solstice Uggs. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get these or they an old style?
ThanksMortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0
