Why is this site is encouraging people to waste so much money on the fuggliest footwear ever created.
Why should we all have the same opinion as you on footwear? what is wrong with having a diiferent opinion- does it bother you that we are all not the same as you? I mean, you must be interested, else why would you have clicked on this thread, right?0 -

There is nothing wrong with having a different opinion to me; not everyone is blessed with my good taste;)
The headline on the MSE homepage included the line '£120 Uggs' which I assumed to be either a mistake or a complaint and was intrigued to know more so clicked on the article.
I had previously thought that the reason these boots were so common was because they were cheap; like clothes from Primark. Quite frankly I was astounded that such unflattering footwear cost so much and even more amazed that readers of MSE are actually prepared to pay this and think of it as a bargain.
But what surprises me the most, and was the main point of my initial post, is that a money saving site is encouraging its readers to spend large amounts of money to become fashion victims.0 -
If you are in or around York, you can get Uggs from Pavers in the retail outlet just off of the outer ring road. £110 for the long, £85 for the short.0

Any website with UGG in the name isnt an authorised seller of UGG as listed on their official website.0 -
Right I've been a long time user of this site just not posted. Now being male i know nothing about uGg boots apart from my wife would like some. Had a look in shops and price varied from £160-190 for Suede ones that looked like they would last about 5 minutes in our wet climate. So after a frank discussion where I said I didn't think they were worth the money she talked herself out of them.
Now had i been sensible I should of walked away there and spent the money on something useful like beer or wine however christmas is coming and she would really like a pair. I found some sturdy leather uGg boots called kensington look decent in "toast" which i believe is Brown to us male members. Then the problem hard to get hold of and £250 in shops here or £225 on e-bay. Again not paying that I thought after much searching and trying all sorts to get them at the best priceI found Nordstrum I'm a newbie so can't post the link but google should find it easily for you. The boots were a very reasonable £123 when added to the basket and with shipping and pre pay of import duty and vat worked out £192 delivered and duty paid. Now theres a £50 pound saving already.
Luckily have a bit of spare cash so spoke to some friends told them about the site and they liked the boots so rather than order one pair have ordered 4 pairs for just under £600 now that works out at £150 a pair which is a £100 saving. even if you only want one pair the other ones will sell on e-bay for £200-£225 buy 4 sell 3 and you've got your set free?
Anyway thanks for reading if you find them cheaper please don't let me know i'll be upset lol but only for a short while0 -

Sorry for delay- been very unwell all day!
I think Uggs last longer then pretend Uggs, I have had mine for over 5 years now. They still have not folded over at the heel, still have plenty of wear left in them, this means I paid about £25 a year to wear the boots I bought back in 2004.
Bargain I think.
Don't knock it till you've tried it!0 -

MSE isn't encouraging people to spend this sort of money; it's more a case of saying that, they know a lot of people love and want Ugg boots, and if they're going to buy them anyway, they may as well get a good deal on them, and given that some discounts this week have surfaced allowing people to get a good deal on these popular shoes, then it's a good thing they've shared them. I wanted some black Uggs and was waiting til I managed to get a discount on them; now I've found them at a great price via this site, I've bought them. Nobody was telling me, or encouraging me, to buy them, and although they're not cheap, they last for years; I had one of my pairs for 6 years before I destroyed them accidentally, by falling into the sea (don't ask!)0
