Ladies and Gents- Please stop trying to stiffle Discussion

It's been going on for months now. The core regulars have been shouting anyone down who doesn't go along with their mantra. They have totally refused to allow any other message to be put on this board other than the one they wanted to push.....
It's time to let others be heard:cool:

Things have been a tad argumentative of late. Times are getting tough out there, but we are here to help each other, not argue over who is right or wrong :beer:0

It's a time of stress in general across the financial sector, economy, and personal money. So you kind of expect people to feel under strain.

Many of the "core regulars" who work this forum are industry insiders, or professional propagandists paid by financial institutions.
Caveat lector!"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

I have no doubt that you are correct about that. Some at least have the courtesy to describe themselves as IFA's or whatever, so we know that we are potentially dealing with vested interests. But other may not be doing so. Look for responses which remind one of , "They doth protest too much, methinks." This is often the giveaway.No-one would remember the Good Samaritan if he'd only had good intentions. He had money as well.
The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

On what basis can you post that? There are a couple of regular financial advisers, who state this in their signature.
Well I'm certainly not, any of the above, I'm a hard working saver as most of us are here. I'm an IT director, as you'll see from the majority of my posts on the Tech forum where I post the most.
If there are indeed propagandists here, there are more than outnumbered by the trolls and ill-educated and misinformed, which seem to appear at every turn.
I post fact and opinion in discussions - this morning to counter a raft of lies and misinformation propagating on one thread.
There are some fantastically knowledgeable and sensible posters here, but of late lots of alarmist and misinformed people have joined.
No newbies seem to be capable of reading the FAQs the rules, and nearly always start a new thread rather than adding to an existing one on the subject, which is why there are many many Icesave and KE threads on the front page.
No one is stifling debate or otherwise, but what people object to is misinformation and unsubstantiated hype, especially in such a volatile time.0 -
I am a regular on this site. However, to say there is a core mantra is complete nonsense. I am certainly not an "insider" in the finance industry.
I will listen to any reasonable discussion or debate on money matters. However, I retain the right to castigate "we are all doomed" type posts, which have no basis. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0
