It was down for me all last night , even now I've got posts appearing that are a day or two old and some that have disappeared entirely.
Same old, same old as far as Virgin is concerned, they don't even bother to update their status page to show any problems, even when I had no mail for three days about 6 weeks ago and no net mail either the service still showed as excellent. Yes, still no e-mail!
I'm trying to plan a journey - but the address has been sent to my e-mail account and I can't access it! It's so frustrating!
In my experience, Virgin is rubbish, but I won't list all the faults, as I'd be here all day! If you contact them (following links from the homepage - obviously you can't e-mail) to ask when the site will be working again, they take days to reply and then always say that they've tested things at their end and there's nothing wrong! Of course, it's usually working again by then, anyway!
I only continue with virgin cos it's on a monthly contract (and I've had it over 12 months, so there is no default payment if I move address) but in my view it's not worth paying £15 a month, for the so called "service" that they provide!
Glad to get that off my chest! Rant over!

I lost everything today so I phoned Virgin and firstly their helplines were experiencing technical difficulties and couldn;t take calls. I phoned back about 30 minutes later, waited approx 20 minutes and finally got hold of someone who said there were no problems reported.
he spun me the usual line about my equipment being faulty, I had a good laugh explained they always say that and asked him to go and check. Spun me anothe line about how I had the wrong password, nope, then insisted i was a new subscriber (nope) and then eventually admitted there were connection problems in some areas. Why he couldn't say that in the first place I don't know.
I now have a slightly slow conenction but no email and no web mail.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Is the Virgin.NET ADSL email or xNTL or xBlueyonder Virgin Media cable email?
If you are xBlueyonder or xNTL and still have problems you can post in the VM support newsgroups, staff are there 08:00 - 22:00 each day. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

I'm with Virgin net, although with this level of service and the constant trying to blame it on my equipment I suspect I won't stick with them for much longer.
I still have no email, it just goes round on a loop, I get the log in page or if I try going in through outlook express a pop up box, I enter my details and the box just keeps coming back.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Same here, got about 80 emails through all in one go about 2 p. m. and it is now back to "error".
If you phone the "service line" on 0800 0524329, you will find they are "sorry, but they are having technical problems right now, but our team are on to it and are are fixing it fast".
Status page shows they are having "Serious fault or a service is down"Don`t steal - the Government doesn`t like the competition0 -
Shortly after I posted my last message I lost everything again for a few hours.
I'm now struggling again, no emails coming through when they should be as I had work sent through this morning that hasn't arrived, net mail is down and MSE is becoming unusable. MSE is often slow for me and is always the first thing I lose when Virgin have there difficulties and usually means I am about to los emy service entirely.

The email and webmail did actually show red until this morning...!!
So, does anyone have any idea when the problem will be sorted out? No email /webmail for more than two days. Not impressed!!:mad:0 -

My last major outage lasted almost 5 days and that time I believed them when they said it was just me and spent £100 on a PC call out bloke to check (and sell me new) modems and such like. That time though I had no internet at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
