Many of us here are in danger of losing our LIFE SAVINGS! and you are whining about extra threads??? Extra threads can be deleted/chopped once the crisis is over but at the moment i have bigger worries!
Look, I have/had (?) a substantial amount in Icesave and am very very concerned as the rest of us but hysteria and the constant restarting of alarmist threads and discussion which could be part of existing ones, helps no one.0 -

I can't even imagine what it's like for people with larger savings in there. I'm worrying about a measly 1700....
I hope this gets sorted out.
Also, would landsbanki being nationalised have the same end result as northern rock?Savings

And not only that, there now appears to be a question over whether it happened YESTERDAY in which case the protection was still only £35K, not £50K.

Just found this nugget in the article on Sky News:
If the Icelandic scheme failed to reimburse UKcustomers, the FSCS would cover the entire amount lost up to £50,000.
I think that's enough to let me sleep tonight now. It was this issue that I feel wasn't clarified before but if it's true I hope it helps reassure everyone with very justified concerns over the Icelandic passport scheme.0
