Play £5 vouchers updates

I used my vouchers through linemypocket. As I haven't had my account credited, I contacted them to ask why. They have replied this morning saying

Thank you for taking the trouble to contact member support regarding your transaction query. We are aware that there has been a recent batch of vouchers for Play.com. Unfortunately Play are being a bit stingy as the terms of the voucher offer mean that anyone who uses a voucher when making a purchase is not being awarded a cashback payment.

Anyone actually receive payments through cashback sites?

:xmassmile Well, I have now recieved a whopping 30 orders from play.com using the universal voucher codes. A load more came today - funny thing is that these had been cancelled by play and have been showing cancelled since the 02/12! I've had no emails to say that they were dispatched or anything - they just arrived. I'm certainly not complaining mind you - my little un now has a very healthy book colllection and I've got a few stocking fillers too :xmassmile

I have only one item outstanding thatshows as being cancelled since 04/12 and they have not taken the payment from the bank for it. The others (some showing as canx) have arrived, and there is one showing as packing that I received first!! I'm very grateful to OP for the codes, everything I had (only chanced 8) were items that I wanted for dd and ds for xmas,the only thing that was for me is the one that doesn't look likely to arrive!! Incidently, I have orderd off play many many times, and have also ordered full price since.

Ok - it gets better. For some reason or other a DVD I did not order arrived from play this morning. Basic Instinct! How very very strange...

EDIT - Just checked the receipt. It is meant to be "Vertigo" by Alfred Hitchcock. So they sent me the wrong DVD. If anyone here ordered Basic Instinct but got Hitchcock please let me know :rotfl:

:beer: Well done abijanzo - I bet you saved heaps, 9 out of 10 of mine have been received but discovered my co-worker who I thought I'd help by giving the discount codes to has now had her account suspended. Guess I won't mention play.com at the section Christmas meal :rolleyes:

I ordered and received Vertigo, which is great. But I also ordered an exercise dvd that arrived this morning. Problem is that they sent me the German version, so the the cover is all in german. There is an english soundtrack included on the dvd so It will still be perfectly watchable, but I am still a bit miffed. Is it worth asking for an exchange or should I just live with it as I did get it at the bargin price of £3.99.

Fair do's im well pleased with this £5 play voucher offer! i must have had about 6 vouchers (one to each email adress)!

Thats a 30 quid saving on xmas pressies!
