Thanks a lot for the advice - 0one problem though:
First of all- I can not at the monet afford to pay the fee that is needed to submit the forms. CCCS will tell you to stop paying the DMP and put the money towards the BR fee's.
There will be no money for DMP or to save for BR payments once I am on half pay - please see my sad attampt at SOA above
Thanks again

Anna the SOA didn't get posted. Is there anything you can Ebay? Or put in your local paper for sale?
Read here as well

long day.
Check out section 4 concession 2 in this document. You may be entitled to the remission of the court fee's, which will help.

Might be worth getting in touch with your local CAB and ask them if there are any local charities who will help.
Are you a church goer? Some churches have discretionary funds that the Minister can give to members that he feels need help without telling any one else.
One member sold her sofa, microwave and other things to raise the fee's, then got replacements off freecycle. This is like Ebay but you express an interest in an item and if chosen you can then pick it up for FREE!!www.freecycle.org click on browse groups and join all those in your area. Good to join even if you don't take this drastic route.

Meant to say when you petition for your BR make sure you add in things like medical, pet insurance etc. When you come to do your SOA then we can check it out for you then.
Oh! and also get over to the Old Style board and see if you can save anything off your food budget to get some money towards BR. Though you will put the £300 down when you do your SOA.
Maybe ask your daughter to take pack lunches for college for a while.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

I have no idea what allowances are for a household like mine (me, my 18 yo daughter dog and cat) - my DMP was very generous and things like cigarettes, dog walker, holidays etc were all included in it ,and would be ok if I was on full salary.
I know Freecycle and other sites but I really haven't got much indoors as I only moved into this flat at the end of Jan this year so have not accumulated anything to be able to sell/swap it.
I am not a church goer either and have no family here - just me, my daughter a dog and a cat.
Thanks again.
PS - What is "Old Style Board"?
We do not get ready meals or take aways, I cook everything from scratch at home - daughter taking packed lunch and drink from home would mean we need more for the monthly shopping?
Also, where I live, any shop I need to get to I have to take a bus which is a £1 each way - I do nto drive do not have a car - nightmare as the cost of getting to the shops also adds up.0 -
OK my sweet, hopefully some of the other links/ideas will help you out.
Will go and look at your SOA for you and get back asapBSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
Tigerfeet - my cat's name is Tiger.......
I have been reading this whole Forum back to back for a few days before I posted.
Absolutely terrified of what may happen as my work/salary situation is so complicated and will drive me up the wall to try to explain - spoke to Housing Benefit people today and could not get any sense out of them on HOW am I supposed to fill in the forms that they are sending me?
My daughter can not get EMA as my P60 shows my LAST years salary.
etc etc etc
Thanks a lot for yoru help.0 -
As I have mentioned, I am oficially on 38k per year which raoughly translates to about 2300-2400 per month (after tax) plust about 75 per month ChB which I get for my 18 yo daughter who is still at College (last year).
But due to long term sickness (stress at work, signed off by my GP - totally unrelated to my debts) my salary will go down to half (about 1100 per month after tax) from the 1st of this month only showing this on my payslip at the end of the month
Thsi may be seen as a temporary thing although I am going back to my GP at the end of the month and he is more then likely to keep on signing me off as my work situation is not likely to improve (very complicated) so the income would need to be treated on a month to month basis? That is fine, don't worry about it. Any change in circumstances you just let the OR know within 21 days.
I can not resign from work, I am entiled to 6 months on half pay...
My budget (while on half pay)looks something like that:
Salary £1,100.00
ChB £ 75.00
Total Income £1,175.00
Rent £ 314.00
CT £ 97.00
Gas £ 70.00
Electric £ 30.00
TV License £ 12.00
SKY £ 20.00 Not an allowable expense in BR. Will have to come out of surplus.
BT £ 20.00
Mobile £ 50.00 This is high.Put some of this on landline. Is this contract or PAYG? If contract and you want rid then default on at least one payment and put into BR and get PAYG.
Debts £ -
water rates?
contents insurance?
Total Bills £ 613.00
My Travel £ -
Daughter Travel £ 50.00
Daughter Lunch £ 80.00 This may be disallowed but always worth leaving and seeing what the OR does.
Dog Food £ 45.00 This will probably have to come out of your housekeeping.
Pet insurance?
Dog Walking £ -
Food/Toiletries etc £ 300.00 £370 I've looked at this as 2 adults. The OR may look at it as an adult and child so may cut. But you don't ask you don't get.
medical £30 also get a pre payment certificate for your prescriptions.
clothes £60
holiday £40 grey area some allow, some won't but put in.
hairdressing £20
Total Other £ 475.00
Balance £ 87.00
I do not have any insurance (apart from pets insurance - not sure how much is that, have to check), I used to have 150 allowance on my DMP for dog walker while I was at work and of course for my own travel and lunch which I have now taken out.
To be honest I am all over the place with this one, maybe someone could have a look at the budget abouve and let me know if this looks ok? There is no allowance for any emergencies (I get 3 perscriptions per month, wear glasses and dentist is not included) or holidays/birthdays - anything at all, not even clothes..
SKY includes the broadband (basic package) and we have 2 mobiles which I could possibly vbring down to 40 per month for the 2 of them?
Oh, did not include cat food/litter
Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
Thanks a lot
Do you have a car?
Hope some of that helps.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -

Don't worry about the work situation at the moment. Take each day as it comes. When you get the forms through don't panic.Post on here and some one will be able to point you in the right direction I am sure.
Give CCCS a ring tomorrow and ask about the BR scenario and also ask them about raising funds for it.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0
