O2 XDA Executive Phone-Advice Needed Please!!

Hi

My OH has had the standard XDA since it first came out 18 months ago and has had no problems with it-well that is, till today  It will not start up at all and he's pretty good with fiddling around with mobiles and getting them to work etc.

Anyways, he has his eye on the new XDA Executive and was wondering what the best deals are around  I dont mind a monthly contract as long as it isnt too high and includes some texts and calls. The phone seems very expensive otherwise.

Can anyone advise please? Its our 12th wedding anniversary next week and would like to get him something nice. He's my FT carer as IM disabled and never asks for anything-so would be a nice gesture for him.

Im not very good with my hands and typing kills me and Im not having a very good today  any advice where to look would be greatly appreciated. Would love to do this as a surprise for him, but dont think I can do it by myself..LOL.

Thanks in advance.

I think this 02 is a good deal it's £125 and £19 per month with 50 mins and 200 texts, make sure you click on the 12 months option. They also have a smaller xda mini s at £75 plus £19 pm. Not sure if his exsisting software will work though as both use windows mobile 5.

assuming he alraedy has an o2 contract - first port should be to see if they will offer a cheap upgrade.

    Or

As An alternative to the other link given , you should be able to get one in o2 stores , at £230 plus £9.40pm x 12m on a data5 tariff ( fairly pointless tariff IMHO ) and then use existing sim - not sure if still allowed ... + was offering £50 trade in !!

Thanks for the replies. He doesnt have a contract ATM, we finished it about 6 months ago to throw at our debts, but am willing to sign for another as long as the monthly payment isnt too high and includes some freebies-IYKWIM.

    Thanks again
