your best bet is a skype phone on 3. they credit check on the handset applied for so your more likely to pass for that phone over any other.

To process a connection online with 3 - they take an admin fee of £1.95.

If you pop into your local 3 store, you can apply for a Skype S2 phone on a 6 month contract. This is available on Mix and Match 300 and 500 (£15p/m and 17p/m). After the 6 months, you can upgrade and choose a better phone, etc.

This particular phone/deal has a credit check pass rate of over 95%.

You need to present a debit or credit card to apply (or paper proofs like passport + driving licence or bank statement, etc).

If you have a debit or credit card (not electron or solo), they will take £1 from your account and refund at the end of the sale (as part of the process of completing a digital signature).

The Skype S2 has a 3.2 megapixel camera, MP3 player, Bluetooth, etc.

    You can only try.....

this is what i was trying to say in a lazy way!!! i think you may be best off applying online first if you have the correct card, if not, pop into store.

I'd ask why a contract phone is even a consideration? The new deal from ASDA Mobile has knocked spots off the competition, especially when the 'inclusive' elements are stripped off.
  • I have just moved to London to move in with my girlfriend, at her dad's house. His mortgage doesn't allow any non-family members to be on the electoral role at the property. I have been rejected by T-mobile, orange, o2 AND three for a mobile contract, and I take it this is the reason (not being on the electoral role at my current address). Is there any way round this?
