Just looking at this post. I am now looking for a new washing machine as my 12 year old one stopped a few nights ago. I am in Northern Ireland so a number of the places mentioned do not deliver to here. Any ideas of where to go to find a good one and at a good price?0

Which? voted Miele best for reliablity & performance, a close match is Bosch followed by Siemens.
Cannot fault Miele...
(plus they have a 10 year warranty if you buy any Miele product by end of April 2012, but you have to register youtr appliance with Miele).0 -
I've read all the very useful info on washing machines in this thread and am in a similar position myself. My John Lewis machine has expensive bearing trouble and will cost c£200 to repair. After 4 years, I'm not impressed. I'm not sure I can bite the bullet with a Miele or ISE, although I believe the comments.
I've seen that Panasonic and Samsung are in on the act now and some of the Samsungs get a 5 year warranty (eg WF70FEW4W, anyone break the code?). Does anyone have experience of these to share?
