  • thank you bubble in all the 25 years i have been shopping there they have done it without hesitation it did not help the assistants were both unhelpful and lacked the art of customer care there was no attempt to see if they were the last in stock it was a flat no there was no one we could see in the ladies department i.e customers wise and plenty of staff to assist whilst there are amazing staff at our local branch of M+S who have given us as a family good service over the 60 or so years we have shopped with then that was quite possibly the worst care or lack of customer care we have ever witnessed its like the new blood of staff cannot be bothered to do any work where the older staff work really hard and are accommodating and work round the problem. Suppose its like that in all stores really.
In other shops they don't seem to have such antiquated systems in reducing items due to a minor issue with the item like a mis match in size. So much for trying to give the customer the best possible experience certainly will be speaking to the manager of the store because some staff are making others look bad and are not pulling their weight which i cannot stand free loaders who are not earning their wage. Vent over feel better cheers all

I know exactly what you mean, some staff do not know what good customer service is and I do not think M&S service is as good as it was in years gone by.If you speak to older staff it was a completely different store in years gone by where the staff had respect for their managers and did not use first names, etc. Its nothing like that now. I think its the poor training, lack of respect, etc - same as many other areas of life. Personally as a shop assistant I treated customers the way I would expect to be treated and would go out of my way to help them. I would speak to the manager or write a letter.

My £104 order was meant to be left in a safe place at the front of the building . I live in a terrace with no front gardens (ala Coronation Street) and not even a bin:mad: . Anyone seen it????!!!!!!

my last m and s order was put inside the wheelie bin - on bin day!! i was on holiday but my neighbour took my bin out for me, so the order got thrown away.
    52% tight

    is this true?

I've often just kept one thing from an order, and I've never been charged the postage when I returned the others.

Hi, I ordered from the school uniform sale last month which they messed up & charged me delivery when it should have been free & so to compensate they credited my online account with £5.
I placed an order from the current sale to use this £5, only to find that they hadnt even credited my account & to top it off when the order came today a 5 pair pack of socks only had 1 pair in.
I rang to express my concern & was offered yet another £5 credit - I declined & will never shop at M&S online again.

    2 orders placed.
    2 orders wrong.
    Compensation promised & never given.
1 very unhappy ex customer.
