thank you bubble in all the 25 years i have been shopping there they have done it without hesitation it did not help the assistants were both unhelpful and lacked the art of customer care there was no attempt to see if they were the last in stock it was a flat no there was no one we could see in the ladies department i.e customers wise and plenty of staff to assist whilst there are amazing staff at our local branch of M+S who have given us as a family good service over the 60 or so years we have shopped with then that was quite possibly the worst care or lack of customer care we have ever witnessed its like the new blood of staff cannot be bothered to do any work where the older staff work really hard and are accommodating and work round the problem. Suppose its like that in all stores really.
In other shops they don't seem to have such antiquated systems in reducing items due to a minor issue with the item like a mis match in size. So much for trying to give the customer the best possible experience certainly will be speaking to the manager of the store because some staff are making others look bad and are not pulling their weight which i cannot stand free loaders who are not earning their wage. Vent over feel better cheers all :beer:

As for how long it takes, again it comes down to the combination of items. M & S might show 2 items as available, but it's possible that they are in two distribution centers so to get them into one order, they have to be married up in the fulfillment center before they can be dispatched.

The best choice to avoid the long dispatch delay is split your order into as many blocks giving free delivery as possible (In the summer I had 10 orders of around £30 and 9 were delivered, 1 was delayed and split)

Remember, early orders means 2 hours before the day of the sale

So for the Boxing Day/Christmas Sale, if you really want it, then make your orders from your basket around 10PM on Christmas Day as soon as the prices drop.

Thats fantastic information - this is the first time I have shopped at Marks in the online sale and it has been a pleasant experience. I usually get Next VIP invite but didnt this time (altho the sale was rubbish this time) - got some nice pieces at M&S - will definately be looking here at the xmas sale.

That's exactly what I did, and still I've had 'items out of stock' emails, and no sign of despatch.

I am so sorry this is still happening - unbelievably poor service! I only ordered once on-line (early summer 2007) and lost every single item.

I swore I would never use the service again-and have managed not to weaken (so far ).

Complain vigorously so M&S realise what customers' expectations are: they mess up every saletime!

Lost a couple of items myself, 4 deliverys so far, waiting for 2 more, 1 order split 6 ways!!! had a couple of emails saying some of the products are out of stock, but I'll get over it, I was on at 11pm the night before. If you want sale stuff, you have to be ready with all the other scavengers!

I had my items waiting in my basket at 10pm the night before, checked out as soon at it was live, and recieved all my goodies yesterday! Woo hoo!

My £104 order was meant to be left in a safe place at the front of the building . I live in a terrace with no front gardens (ala Coronation Street) and not even a bin:mad: . Anyone seen it????!!!!!!

My order arrived today. Halfway through putting stuff in my basket the prices all changed to sale ones - excellent - and I ordered using one-click so it worked fine for me. Got all 8 items I asked for, something for me and my kids so I am happy. First time I tried doing it for a sale at M&S thanks for the tip - saved a lot and got things I needed.
