roaming in europe

Hi,
me and my wife will be traveling in europe shortly(france, nederlands, germany, switzerland). We may need to call each other sometimes. I am on O2 while my wife is on t-mobile , both on contracts.

Will our mobiles work there? if yes, what will be the approximate roaming rates?

You'll need to check that both your acc's have roaming on them do this BEFORE you leave as it's not likely to get enabled if you call while you're away.

Roaming rates can be very expensive and vary from network to network. Also remember that you pay to receive calls when roaming. If your phone is unlocked or you have a spare phone that is, or can be unlocked consider purchasing PAYG sim card from the country you are in. The charges are a fraction of roaming charges. Check out ebay to buy before you leave home.
