Good Morning All,
I've decided to tackle the bank first. Still having a serious problem with getting on the phone to them because I know they've been trying to get hold of me.
My overdraft is £1600 and I go over it every month because of bank charges. It seems as though it would be easier if I moved my 'bills/dds' across to another account I have, which has no overdraft facility and ignore the main account until the charges stop and I'm in a position to start paying back? Does that sound a reasonable thing to do? I'm definitely not having a moment of clarity because I'm questioning every decision I make in case it's the wrong one!
Have decided to empty the pennies jar and pay whatever is there (not much!) into the bank in the hope it will help the situation some.
I've also cancelled DD's which were unnecessary, magazine subscriptions and the like. The only things I've battled with are weight watchers, my 3yr olds Dora magazine and hubby's sky. Gonna have to talk him around I think hehe.
hello there, i notice you said you have cancelled the DDs. Hve you also
told the company that you want to cancel. So many people cancel DDs and think that that is that. Not so. You must contact the company to cancel.
good luckmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

Hey
I have been browsing there, cheers! I already make a lot of stuff from scratch -- just got used to using expensive meats etc to make meals with! Totally frivolous spending it was! Trying hard now to reduce shopping bill but that won't show until next month as we only needed certain items to top up this month. No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670 -
Good morning everyone,
Well eBay is paying off already thank goodness - only £20 made so far but it's a start! That money will go to NPower. Aiming for £450 in six weeks, a percentage of anything over that will have to go toward christmas, its gonna be a tight one!
I'm feeling really tired this morning. Going to ring Npower and face up to them though so hopefully I'll be better this afternoon
Shopping is due to arrive this afternoon, so I'm going to clear out the freezer and see if there's not something I can whip up for tonights tea there.
Middle daughter has had packed lunch all of this week. We've come to the arrangement she can have school dinner on Fridays so its not too much of a change (as MrsTine mentioned earlier this week) both of the older ones enjoy the school dinner on a Friday, so I felt it would be wrong to take it away immediately.
I've been very good and opened all of the post I have left (shredded/threw away the rest a while ago). The majority of the debt letters are from a credit card I had last year. You know, the stupid thing about it is I stopped paying it because the bank bounced the DD after charges one month and it spiralled from there. I'm going to ring them too, although they've passed it onto a dcc so I reckon they'll just say I have to ring them. Thats the scarer for me to be honest, we once had a visit from a certain dcc/bailiff and he really, really scared me with how he was. He refused to leave the house until he had money and wanted the keys to my car.
Anyway, enough of the sombre notes..here's hoping we can sort something out with NPower! They've a scheme I've found a number for. If it's as good as it looks I'll be posting it up for all to see.No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670 -
Well done PF, it seems like you're really on a roll. :j

Hi Naomim,
Thanks a lot. Bit frustrated at the mo cos I can't get hold of Npower (again!). Trying to clear in my mind what I need to do before I submit a revised SOA. Hopefully that'll make things a bit clearer. No chocolate, cosmetics or clothes to be bought before xmas day 14! ~ NPower eBay target £541.670 -

Until i started browsing though this site i didn't realise that you didn't have to let bailiffs enter your house.

Right the bailiff people - unless they have gone through getting a CCJ and you fail to stick to the CCJ and they then get a court order thingy they CANNOT remove your property. If ever anyone threatens you with that again let us know and we'll give you all the information you need to get shot of themDFW Nerd #025DFW no more!
