You can play a large number of the Xbox games on the Xbox 360 already and more are being added all the time.
The level of backwards compatibility in the PS3 has not been confirmed. Sony is having trouble just getting its latest PS2 to run all PS2 games!0 -

I got an AD number but got e-mails which contradicted each other and didn't make sense so I rang Argos and got passed on about three time after explaining things each time. I'm now being told that they have charged me for it but that the AD reference that they are looking into "isn't showing anything up" as it is corrupt or something and that they are having to look into things. The woman said she'd call back but it's already been a few hours. If it's paid for and I have a AD reference I'd better be getting one on Monday. Had to wait about an hour on the phone to get to the right department, 'extensions' or something it was called.

Thats not what industry analysts are saying. They are saying Microsoft is likely to win the volume war because of the early start. The PS3 isnt going to to reach Europe until 2007.0 -
