And people should go on a PC basics course before dipping into there pockets to buy a overpriced machine thats usually is used for gaming or e-mail and downloading !!!!!!.
Oh and collecting Viruses for a pastime, and if its for 99% of the PC users who dont know what to do, do you think they will be that competent to get a MS product from any other product, I think not.
And how many people go on a car basics course before paying 10 times the cost of a PC on tons of metal - and how many of them read the manual. I'm with you on this, but you can't really blame Micro$oft for giving people what they want rather than pay more for what the tech-savvy think they should have...
