I've never seen a rechargeable cell button battery - where can you buy them?
In this case though, unless you have your scales on 24/7 the battery should last quite a long time. The ones of my current set of scales have lasted me 2 years and are still going strong, and I do a lot of home baking. I don't consider £2 every couple of years to replace a battery to be a fortune.0 -

Wherever possible, I try to avoid devices which require button cells - for the above-mentioned reasons. It might not always cost a fortune - if the battery only needs changed very rarely, but it still is more environmentally friendly to use rechargeables.Frogling wrote:In this case though, unless you have your scales on 24/7 the battery should last quite a long time. I have a set of electronic Salter scales, too, which I use daily. They take alkaline or rechargeable batteries (P-22P), which need to be charged up every few months.Dagobert0 -

More are being transfered from our main warehouse to the homeshopping warehouse. 80 to be exact, they should be available to order in the middle of next week.checked in with some stores and they have it but

It is £15 to have something delivered from a store Basically I think because they dont want it to be a common practice.hmmmmm, well if anyone at rob dyas has one and and can reduce the delivery charge - kerching - its a sale to them - let me know asap as I broke the wifes current scales
I have never seen a discount code for free or even reduced postaged costs. It just not something they do basically because they only just about breakeven on postage as it is I think.0 -
My Salter 1007 scales arrived today. Could anyone who has received their scales tell me how bright their LCD display is? Mine is only really readable viewed at the right angle in decent light. In all the pictures it looks like the digits are a bright white, like they are backlit. Have I got a dud?
Thanks for any info,Old Faithful we roam the range together,
Old Faithful in any kind of weather,
When the round up days are over,
And the Boulevard’s white with clover,
For you old faithful pal of mine.
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is yellow tonight,
Giddy up old fella cos the moon is mellow and bright,
There’s a coyote crying at the moon above,
Carry me back to the one I love,

Popped in to Robert Dyas today only to find a Circulon 28cm Skillet reduced from £39.99 to £9.99. Was £14.99 or £19.99 though I think earlier on in the week. Brilliant pans with an unbeatable non-stick coating. They use them on Ready Steady Cook as well!0
