  • On SS tills I used the £5 electrical voucher I received in the mailing, along with (No.7) pinkie and (No.7) till spit got it for £4.99:j.
I tried the paper shiny £5 electrical voucher, that beeped and said 'voucher condition not met' SA would not let me try it again . I also tried the (electrical) till spit £5, this did not work for me, but maybe because I was panicking by this point and had a hovering SA. I think others have said it does work?

did the mailing voucher have a minimum spend? only i have one, but the minimum spend is £30

Yes it did, but the till seemed to recognise the original price, not the sale price. ( this was on 12/10)

To all those who requested vouchers (and succeeded) I have PM'd you. Due to the 240 sec rule I haven't time to reply to all ( ie those who missed out :o ) but thanks for your messages. I will post/reply if I get more :D

I know what you mean mimi, i find that im not going to boots as much as i used to espically with the pinkies been around. I do find the birstall store that the staff there are brillant, they are friendly and really lovely.

Wicked. Gonna go to the Birstall store tomorrow to see if I can get any bargains. *** Bham Dave - try and do that in West Yorkshire with your Mitchum vouchers! I can remember some poor lady got accused of fraud or something when she used her Mitchum voucher in Huddersfield, she had a posting on here a bit ago. It's too much hassle, and I don't like SA's crowding around me like I'm a celeb. But thank you all the same for your kind advice.
  • The October Christmas shopping evenings have been added to the instore services on the store locator on dot com for anyone who wants to check their nearest. October evenings are either 22nd or 23rd depending on the store, 1000 points for every £50 you spend.

This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

  • Any indication on the half price gift for next week - not entirely bothered about the FCUK! I'm hoping for a nice makeup pressie to go half price. The Ruby and Millie set or the HUUUUGE No7 gift would be nice Mr Boots :D

    Hiya

I've been away for a few days and there are so many pages to try and catch up on I wonder if anyone can help rather than me trying to read through thirty odd pages.

My DH's friend's son is a soldier in Afghanistan and has asked everyone she knows for donations as part of the Support our Soldiers campaign to make up christmas parcels for the soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq. She has asked as many people as she can to donate toiletries, hard sweets, etc for her to make up the gifts.

Typically all the stuff I have picked up from teh tips on here are ladies toiletries so I was wondering if anyone would be able to help me with the best buys and best way to spend my money to get as many mens toiletries for not a lot of money (that way I can buy mutliple transactions and more stuff for the boys' boxes).

I have printed the mitchum vouchers and shall hopefully stock up with them (sticks and roll ons) and have a few pinkies so shall hopefully get some 3 for 2 and GWPs with them but can anyone tell me when these offers i.e. 2 for £3.50 mitchum and 3 for 2 on mens toiletries finish? Will they still be on at the weekend when I am hoping to go?

    Thanks for all your help.

It would help if we knew what was on your list of things that you could send, and whether you could send full size or if travel size was preferred. It would also help to know if you are looking for special gift items,or just the standard things they need. The current sales last through 4 November.

That said, some things I can think of that are cheap or possibly on sale (they're basically unisex) would be: the small size johnson's body wash that many found in stores for 1p, Boots brand lipsalve with spf15 (it costs something like 89p), any sunblock or cooling aftersun gels you can find on clearance, nail files/nail clippers (perhaps some can be bought with pinkies), unscented baby wipes, and Boots brand paracetamol or ibuprofin. Disposable razors are good too, but probably cheaper at Tesco or Superdrug. Bug spray or things that keep bugs off are good, and Avon's skin-so-soft is desirable, as I understand, as it is multi-use and keeps bugs off. :)

Apparently it's the Front Cover Eyes set next Friday (the 31st), the one that's £30.00 at the moment (sorry, can't post a link at the moment, .com is playing up for me), but I don't know what this Friday's offer is and I'm dying to know too! :)

    ETA: it's this one: http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&productId=121426&callingViewName=&langId=-1&catalogId=11051
