  • I have the Nikon D50 which is now discontinued but I can guarantee its an absolutely fantastic camera. I love mine
  • Keeping my eye on this model on amazon and jessop and noticed that it has gone up today by £20. Might need to wait a bit longer for the price to drop.

  • It goes up and down regularly on amazon - a day or 2 ago I think it went up to £240 ish then back down to £225 and now £227.25

  • Just waiting for it to reach the £200 figure :T

Been reading so many reviews about it. Really fed up with my pocket camera.

  • £214.92 delivered but if you go via a cashback site you get an extra 3% off so around £209 delivered. Getting close to that magic £200 mark. :)

  • Don't think it can get any cheaper than that. Might try going into a branch of jessops to see if they can beat that price.

  • Managed to get a Nikon D40X body yesterday for a really good price but know I need a lens, can someone give me some advice on best place to get a cheap lens from that fits this body.

    Thanks.

    Thanks.

You need to choose a lens for this camera really carefully. It is designed so that the auto-focus motor is in the lens rather than in the camera, and some lenses won't focus properly. I think it is AF-S or AF-I lenses that you need otherwise you will have to focus manually all the time which would be a pain.

Thanks mate, already aware of that,

Was hoping to get a good price on the standard lens or maybe one with telephoto.
