I went on to the site as this is exactly the camera i am after. Martin will be proud as I found the phone number, which was really easy to locate and called them. Spoke a really helpful lady and she said they are in stock. I'm going to order on credit card so I'm protected, but all seems OK.
I will let you know.....hope it's the bargain it seems to be0 -
Amazon price was down to £215 last week (Now gone up by £10). myidealbuy says out of stock but personally I would rather pay an extra £16 for a brand new one from a well known supplier than save £16 by getting a refurbished one from somewhere I have never heard of. I also prefer the black colour."The happiest of people don't necessarily have the
best of everything; they just make the best
of everything that comes along their way."

Cracking camera - great quality, easy to use. Can be a point and shoot...or use it in manual mode for more fancy shots. Buy one - I've had mine a year now and extremely pleased !! (Also got cashback from Nikon when they were doing it) :-)0

I used to work as a portrait photographer many years ago and when i fancied getting back into photography a couple of years ago this was my first purchase and i still stand by it and use it all the time. It's simple to use, gives terrific shots, has the versatility to take it out of amateur mode if the purchaser wishes to try their hand at some fancy shmancy shots. I love mine. 6 million pixels is more than enough, you only need more pixels if you want to print off ginormous prints at exhibition standard, and most of us don't even need that kind of capacity. I highly recommend this camera, especially as it comes with the basic kit lens. If i have one grumble then it is with myself for not going the extra £100 to get the telephoto lens with it. The kit lens is more than adequate for standard shots though.Grocery Challenge for October: £135/£200

Same here - and I still think it was worth every penny! Took it on safari last year and got some wonderful pictures. What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -

Both of these deals are excellent. Also Jessops have the D80 with 18-55VR lens at £399 - three excellent deals at diffrent price points.0

Looks a great camera.
Where is the best price at the minute and through which cashback site?
Weighing up whether to get it now, or wait for post-25th sales prices to really kick in...0
