    evening all

You lot have been extra chatty today - has taken me over an hour to catch up!

Good day at work, though stupdily checked email when i got in to find about a million from our project manager, seriously, he seems to be workign backwards and now getting replies from emails sent mid-september!

Did a top up shop on the way home, will S&S the bathroom before bed, but leaving the bulk of flying til the weekend as need to conserve my energy at the moment! But I have cut the caffeine down which seems to have helped already, thanks Greenbee, plus of course I've been out and about this week which is nice :) Lovely mild bright day today!

lil_me - at least its over with!
greenbee - what do you use for shampoo etc? DH did a chemistry degree and always argues back to me that synthetic chemicals aren't any different than natural ones, but something feels better about natural ones!

My mini list for tonight then:

    make lunch for tomorrow
put work laptop away in study
update GC amount in sig strip
look for hotel for dad to stay in next week
Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j

Tooti - I managed my bathroom list on and off. Few bits to finish but nearly done. I'll finish it first thing.

I can't take the dogs out for a walk as DH working away so i'm going to walk round the garden and look like a nutter instead! xx

Evenin' all -s'nice in this pub innit - mine's a white wine s'il vous plais!

First of all I HAVE thanked you all - I have seen that I am not the only one having trouble...so if you spot any unthanked post and you are desperate to improve your thanks score pm me!

Not only have I had a very productive afternoon - I have put away ironing batch one and done ironing batch 2 and been to shop for essentials...loo roll, hand soap (I use bottles because it's less messy and they are half price at the mo with little dolphins in) and wine (3 for £9:money: ) but I have [strike]bribed [/strike]persuaded the kids to clean out the gerbils ... hurrah...

Now was it Tag or Toots who panicked when I put in an unexpected appearance? (sent home for being naughty lol) - because I job share we occasionally shuffle things round for personal reasons...in this case my job share wants to attend a friend's funeral on Friday so I won't be around Friday pm...I'll be at work! TBH usually it's she who needs the time off - she has had 3 or 4 funerals to attend of late but it means that I could ask and know I would get a yes...

Pigpen I am pleased that your DDs school are letting you know there is a 'problem' and asking you for your input...exactly how it should be...
How is the course decision going? - I think the advice of Hex is spot on here ...decide on your destination...ideal job/career and find out what you need to get you there...And I love your counselling skills...
Incidentally...b***** senior moment - I have forgotten what I wanted to say now...
no - I remember - maybe you SHOULD consider banking - because I bet if you were in charge we wouldn't be in the s*** now!
I'm just glad I owe them - cos I'd be worried if they owed me!

Greenbee Where are you? I am fascinated by the idea of blending my own perfume (I have studied the chemistry of perfume a bit - ex lab tech. dontcha know) - but didn't realise I could do it myself with essential oils...more details would be appreciated..
Top note - rose, middle note - rose...base note...rose as well - lol
    Enjoy your fraud workshop!

Everyone else - loving the posts - waiting for the choccy pud recipe for DS and DD - I don't eat chocolate cake and puddings or ice cream...(and everybody to whom that information is divulged looks me up and down and says 'Really?' lol) I DO like chocolate though..

    Toots - any good? http://hyperreal.org/raves/database/gallery/images_temp/tootyfrootie_28aug92_a.jpg

    evening all!

in bed now after what seems like a long day. Kitchen and living are straight. Dining room and bathroom are now fully plastered so can get on with decorating them and putting all the stuff backwhen I get back off hols.

So on with tomorrow. luckily DD's bedroom isn't that bad since my mum came roung the other night and badgered her into doing it! But spare room is a nightmare as its full of stuff being stored from all the plastering-but tackle it tomorrow morning I will!

    Goodnight everyone xxx

Dusty - hugs to the little one who's been stuck back together. Hope it heals well.
Mudbath - I've done the nonchalant walking around the garden with the dog in the past when she's in season. You do feel a prat! I realised one day I must have really looked like a prat to anyone watching when I was making squatting motions to encourage her to pee! :rotfl:

OK, I think I need a concierge or a fixer or something. I have spent a couple of hours this evening in between cooking dinner etc. searching online for somewhere to stay on my week off. I have failed.

Your challenge ladies - find me somewhere to stay for my week off. The rules are:
    • Budget up to max of £400 for a week starting 18th Oct (could do 17th if it's not too far away and they allow late occupation as in 8pm at night) - but preferably less!
    • Ideally on the south coast somewhere - could go as far as west as the start of Cornwall or round to Kent. Isle of Wight is definitely doable. Maybe Weston Super Mare or the easterly edge of south Wales or the easterly parts of North Devon
    • Must have a water feature v. close by - e.g. river or beach
    • Must have open fire or log burning stove and be cosy (no apartments!)
    • Must accept a well behaved  dog and a smoker :o
    • A secure garden/courtyard is a must because of the dog.
So there we are - can you rise to the challenge? I'll empty my PM box now.

Here's hoping you ladies can come up trumps
