Interesting evening here. DH is really fed up with studying and is thinking (or has possibly decided) to give up. I managed to stop him putting the books (worth hundreds of quid) in the dustbin, and am trying to get him to keep going til the first set of exams (mid Nov). Good vibes / prayers welcome!!

I don't remember whose sig is the Mark Twain quote 'to get ahead you have to get started' but I think it's a goody...good vibes coming your way...he will feel awful if he gives upnow...so I am sending get started vibes his way...

Thanks for the beer AnWs Mum come and have a glass (or two) of wine tomorrow. My place? About 7?

Popped to Morrisons on the way home and got two packs of ox kidneys reduced to 9p each so have snaffled them for the cat...I have cooked them (fortunately they were already chopped;) ) and made 7 meals - but the house REEKS:eek: I have had to light 3 tealights (Ikea specials dontcha know...) Good job I'm not trying to sell...

    Goodnight girls. Sweet dreams all...

    Edited to add

I have to confess that my soft pegs are not all one colour but I always put them out in pairs of the same colour and I get upset if I run out of them and have to use ordinary ones too. My ordinary ones are all white but I really don't like using them anymore.

I knew it! I knew it!

:o I've missed ONE evening and it's taken me a whole bottle of wine to catch up!!! It looks like Pigpen needs to get her mule out more often and crack down on the chat :D

    No time for fun smileys...

Seriously, I've had a horrific day at work (yesterday wasn't great either), and I MISSED YOU ALL :o:o . Catching up on the thread has been great therapy... it's good to know you're all out there... at least I think you are... this might not be reall...

Hopefully the thanks button worked. I've tried to reply to everyone, but if I've missed you either repost or PM me. I'll catch up on the how-to-do-multiple-quotes thing when I have a brain cell available (I believe one of my colleagues rents his out by the hour :p so I should be able to get hold of one, even if the quality isn't up to much).

Dusty - I don't have kids... I'm a school governor. I also use a ball at my desk (both at home, and occasionally at work too... keeps everyone quiet as they're not quite sure whether or not to comment...)

Pigpen - shoes. I'm a size 5.5 and wear 6-8 depending on style

Christmasshopper - Pegs... try not to talk about it... people get funny ideas ;)

Toots... post 858... PSML :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Sorry I wasn't here to support you though this traumatic time :rotfl: :rotfl:

Rach - I'm so pleased the caffeine advice has worked. Re. shampoo. Ignore your OH (for a change ;) ). I use Faith in Nature Organic Seaweed (I buy 5l at a time, from NaturalCollection I think)... I'm too fussy about ingredients to be able to buy from Lush :o my ex-OH was a cancer scientist and provided the science to back up my neuroses!!

Polka - congratulations on the cigarettes. Keep us posted, and hope tonight went well

Valli - dolphins in soap... isn't that a bit cruel ;) don't the RSPCA have something to say about it?? You were wondering where I was... I was out... having a life :D (for about 24 hours... it's OK, I'm back to normal now). Re. the perfume... you know where to look... google... but sounds like you just need Rose Otto. I'd also like to point out that as far as you are concerned, ironing doesn't count as flying as you enjoy it too much. Finally (I think)... would you care to explain exactly how you knew where to look for that avatar for Toots :p ???

Flower - I ALWAYS regret volunteering within about a milisecond of doing it, but usually enjoy it in the end. It's good to see someone else resisting the Peg cult. Be strong

    Zed... thanks for the recipe

Toots - just spotted the fact that you're restocking your kitchen table:eek: . I can't believe you're doing it after all the effort we put into getting it cleaned up :confused:

Soappie - hope you've managed to find somewhere for your hols. If not, PM me, as I may know someone who can help... if South Devon is acceptable...

Not sure whether I'll be around tomorrow, but just in case it wasn't clear, I did miss you all

Well I am on a roll now, so Night John Boy

A little update from a newbie.

Finished the lovely bread tonight with some very cheap stewing steak (with onions, mash and veg) it was lush. And I cooked it in my slow cooker-though it makes my house stink, and does not taste as nice as on the hob.

Only problem is that I have very little butter left now the kids have ravaged the bread.

Got soooo much ironing to do tomorrow, another 4 lines of washing dried today.

    Night all

Oh and if my memory serves me right was there a Sue Ellen or was that Dallas lol !!!

Evening all, well flippedy eckers like, that's thursday done.

Been busy at work so hardly any flying today.....sorry :o

However did manage to slowcook some pork in gravy. Delicious.

Next door's had a pig killed and gave me a huge joint, some ribs and 2 trotters!:D Guess what I need a recipe for.:rotfl:

I gave them some eggs from my chickens. So, your probably thinking that we live in River Cottage styley place but no, we live in a victorian terrace in Hull.:rotfl:Good though this swapping things.:T:T

Anyway managed to lose 3 and a half pounds of fattage on my slimming world plan. Aiming for some more off before chrimbo, keep plodding on with this but I'm pleased as I'd put 3 lbs on last week.:o

Erm and I still have stomach ache, had it all week and I don't know why or what it is but it hurts.

Pigpen hope your achey legs are easing up for you.x

Getting a bit fed up of people having a go at Martin ala Icesave thingy. Feel like summoning up a charge of the flylady brigade to see the nasty trolls off.

Anyway, tired now but one last thing.

My pegs never have and never will match and I don't care.;):p:D x

Oh Pigpen I meant to say, The 'liver a la piggers' was gorgeous! The family all enjoyed it except DD2 who is a fussy mare.... (my fault, I fed her bought jars of baby food, instead to making it all myself..... DD1 & DD3 were both fed on home made grub, they eat more or less everything now)
A great success, ta bab! :)

Glad they enjoyed it!!! I hate the stuff.. haven't eaten it for years! lol

Anyway.. assignment done.. just having hubby print it off tomorrow then I can start on the next one!
