Aldi Tevion DVD recorder with DTS £90 5th Dec

Does anybody know if all DVD recorders can use personal planner -> autoview feature in sky to automatically record whatever is on the scart input? This is similar to the way the phantom pvr works except without the infrared control bit. Also what is this feature called and is it only output on sky decoders?

I've just bought one of these thanks to your recommendation Zaccy as I was originally thinking of the Aldi one. I tried phoning around Tesco's to see if they could tell me where one wasa and the customer service just rings on. There were none in Sheffield but if anyones in the area they had plenty at the Tesco Extra in Chesterfield for anyone in that area interested :T

Also, does anyone know how to turn on the Component output on the Technika. I tried setting the output options to YUV, RGB and CVBS but still no signal on the three component out phono ports. My old DVD player outputs to component no problem.

I just can't figure how to turn it on on this

?

EDIT: Sorry ignore me, i found it, just had to set it to YUV and turn progressive on at the same time!

Yes it plays MPEG 4 ie DIVX formats.

What have you got to lose? Tesco give a 28 day Satisfaction warranty, ie if you don't like it take it back for a FULL refund or replacement, I do not know of one UK retailer who can match that.

I'm well happy with DVD recorder -means I get get 24 episodes of Backyardigans off my SKY+ onto a DVD!!! Its brill - well worth the £66 I paid (I had a £12 off £80 spend voucher!) yippppeeee
