Just to let all you organised people known that the Frozen Turkey Crowns are back in Aldi at £8.99 (they were £6.99 last year).
I cook two xmas dinners, a week a part , as my parents have both remarried, so i have to be careful how much i spend and i start buying things early.
Last year this turkey crown was lovely and it filled 4 adults and two children aged 8 & 10 with some left for sarnies at night.
I do remember i bought my crown at the beginning of December last year and went back for another one after xmas dinner number 1...but they had sold out...this is why i bought them as soon as i saw them this year.
Thought i'd let you know

Please can I ask, how longer do the turkeys last for.
I was thinking of going to buy one of these crowns, for our xmas dinner there's just me, mum and my lil sister this year and if I bought the crown it might ease my mums mind a little.0 -
We have one in the freezer from last year and will be cooking it next week.I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.0

Yeah I picked mine up today, they were allready selling out only
about 8 left, still good value even if they are £2 more this year
the local co-op are selling the same size for £12.990 -
I have never bought a turkey crown before. I assume it is purley the breast of the bird without the legs, so it's less hassle to cut up when cold?
We don't have an Aldi near us. Do Tesco do one, or Somerfield (can be expensive!). Are crowns more expensive per £ than whole turkeys, as presumably you get more meat?
Any comments would be much appreciated.
