Night, Jack.
Doomcow, I've heard the best thing to do is have one joint account that you both transfer money into to cover bills and household expenses and keep your own accounts with your own spending money. However in saying that, major purchases should always be discussed first. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. Lol, thanks, feels like things are starting to pick up, finally started a full time job in a few weeks time. Moving out to a proper flat in around 6 months, just feels like I'm entering the adult world. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. Middle child of middle child parents. Yeah, I get that. Hmmm, I think there is a board about marriages and debt and savings and the like. Might be more information there about the best way to merge incomes without it leading to problems. Personally I would hate to have to ask for an allowance or something from my husband if I had one. However, I do believe my parents finances are completely merged but they have been together 23 years. Not an expert, but I try and contribute and I'll always listen. my parents were merged for about 28 years then my mam passed away like.
seems like a good way to do it, my dad always said "long as there is food on the table (and no debt)" he was happy. but as "they" say, its "changed days".
