    Quick update:

I LOVE LIDL NOW! My Dad went into the shop and harangued the manager. He phoned the head office on his behalf and managed to get through to the big cheese of Lidl. The big cheese has not only refunded my Dad and apologised sincerely, he has also refunded him! So complaining has paid off. Very impressed - this wasn't the outcome I was expecting! Full marks to Lidl!

But you didnt want a refund
  • ... to the big cheese of Lidl.

    Dieter Schwarz in person?

Glad to hear everything got sorted.

If your dad's had a double refund, no wonder you're happy

  • No, he didn't want a refund, he wanted a computer. He got that, along with his money back - in essence a FREE computer. Yay for Lidl and their very generous customer service. So kids, it pays to complain!

Blimey thats a result, all you have to do now is use the recovery cd to bring it back to pre-delivery state
  • No, he is getting a NEW computer, untouched by grubby hands! He didn't understand the computer related numbers quoted at him, but I'm guessing it is a better model. :money:

The last time they had them in was a store reopening when i got my old Targa PC from them that must have been 3-4 years ago, certainly havent seen any in the weekly special email they send me since then, unless they only sell them in specific areas

they dont sell them every week, i think its 2 or 3 times a year they sell them

Like i say they havent had them round here for about 4 years, Aldi have them often but Lidl dont seem to only on new/refurb store openings like when i got my old one, unless my area dont have them anymore, i pop into Lidl once a week for shopping and get the email newsletter and they have never appeared, if you have a google search you will also see they are mentioned but only from a few years back
