Can someone tell me how to unlock a Sharp GX15 (on Vodafone)? I've searched the forum and most posts say it can't be done with a free unlock code so are there any alternatives (other than paying some bloke on a market stall to do it)?

i think it can be done by imei as its on vodafone but i dont know if there are any generators to do this-it will only cost a fiver on a stall tho? apart from that youd have to pay vodafone to give you the code.

there is s/w available on the web if youve got the correct cable but its easier to get it direct unlocked or pay £10 for a remote code

Actually there is a way to enter the test mode of a GX15 and GX17 and unlocking it by pressing 4 keys simultaneously and then entering a sequence of button pushes to unlock it. The unlocking of this phone is done in most unlocking shops this way or by using a piece of equipment to enter this mode.

Sorry I am at home now and only have access to it from my shop - PM me whoever wants to know with an email address and i will send it to them either tomorrow or monday!

    regards

this is the 4 button methoed to enter test mode but ive found in the past phone doesnt always turn on again afterwards so at your own risk

put phone in manual test mode you hold down 0 +3 + top right button + power button for 5secs and u see blink display
press 0123 and top right button and press 1 and now phone is in test mode
