            Forgot to mention;
Car insurance is up at the end of the month. Direct Line haven't discounted anything for the next year's insurance! They want me to carry on paying the same!!! Plus extra if I want to protect my no claims!!! Have done comparethemarket but nothing beats Direct Line yet. I'm going to be gutted if I can't get a discount for next year.
Quidco aren't tracking the £70 cashback for signing up with Orange, so I'm having to chase them. Again, will be gutted if that doesn't go through. That's half the reason I went with them online, instead of doing everything in-store.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! BIG HUGS!!!!!!!
Sounds like your having a rough time of it at the mo!!!!!! bless your cat!!! (but not the vets bills!!!)
yeah to your garage nearly done, know the feeling of not having one room finished in a house but it will come together quicker than you think hun. We ended up just concentrating on one room till it was completly finished then moved onto the next! took a while but we are almost done.
And im sure household objects make a secret pact at night to all break together!!!!! they never go on their own, no matter what appliance it is. Big boo to your kettle though, it should no better than to break, it is the most needed appliance in our house!!!!!!
Keep smiling hun, you will be back on track before you know it!!!! what doesnt kill us makes us stronger!!!!!!
 Love rags

Thanks guys - your support means a lot.
Called the house insurance to see if they covered the PC. Guess the answer? NO! It could be a technical fault... which isn't covered. And if it was due to overheating like we thought because of the weather... that's not covered either. However if we had dropped it, yes it is. We all carry desktop PC's around don't we?!Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! DH appearing on the pilot show fell through. Somehow the idiots cancelled both flights out/return instead of just return when we changed his flight home. Good job he tried to check in online the night before, otherwise he would have been stuck in Heathrow on a Saturday night with no way of getting home. Endemol still haven't called him back to tell him what happened, or apologised... really peeved about that.
We have bees living under the conservatory floor. Wonderful.
Got a nice 'demand' letter from Council for council tax & HMRC for some tax. Had to use Mum's credit card to pay those. The total on that is about £2,000 now.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Lilmiss - it was a sound imitation gameshow. The aim of the game is for a contestant to determine the real/fake sound between 2 soundclips. DH is good with sounds & voices etc, so he was picked to do 2 sounds. A crying baby (which is amazing!) & a bicycle horn. He was so utterly gutted he didn't get to go. The other people that were picked we professionals & comedians etc so he was so chuffed to be amongst those ranks.
Get my payslip tomorrow. I'm so excited. I don't think I'll be getting taxed to make up for paying too much over the last few months. And I get a payrise & bonus! Going to try to pay for a break of some sort in Sept. I have 2 weeks off with nothing booked at the moment.
Can't beat my car insurance quote anywhere.
Quidco aren't tracking my £70 for my mobile broadband contract. So annoyed. I need to chase them.
The break I won back in Feb... they still haven't contacted me! I've chased it through 2 people already. I could have taken that in Sept, but I think it's too late now. I bet it's fully booked.Debt @ LBM 29/12/08 - £49044! Aw bless, you're having a really crappy time of it, aren't you? My £50 for the A&L bank account didn't track either, but I got onto them and they manually input it the same day - hopefully they'll do the same for you. Although I've just remembered that was TopCashBack, not Quidco.
I've noticed Ebay has picked up loads over the past couple of weeks, so could be a good time to get stuck in, although not with a netbook! If you want to drive a hundred miles up the road I've got a good PC sitting unused that you're welcome to borrow till you get sorted if it might help get you some cash in the bank and cheer you up.
Any chance of selling the bees to someone who collects such things? :rotfl: :rotfl:
 Keep smiling...it could be worse 0 0

Panda - You're so right. It could be worse! I've looked back at my diary & read where I was at the beginning of the year. It's shocking that I still can complain!
Things are looking up, mixed in with a little negative.
 - Had the PC looked at properly. HD wasn't dead! We've rescued 113gb of our lives! I was so happy. Looking at what was on there, I didn't even realise how much we could have lost! PC itself is dead. Not worth fixing. So we're planning to try to get something on interest free. I think Currys do something on a year on transactions over £1000? We could afford replacing it in about 8 months... it's just not a good time right now. If that falls through, well, Panda we might be knocking on your door!
 - I got my tax-back at work this month, so had an extra £300-ish. I think we're going to try to get the garage finished with that. But I also need to book my Mum's 40th birthday present (which has been decided as a 3 night trip to Iceland).
 - DIY jobs are coming along slowly. I don't get much done myself & DH is constantly working on the garage.
 - Boiler broke last night. I don't think we're going to have it looked at, as we planned to have it replaced by Winter. I will miss my baths though. I'm not a fan of the shower.
 - QuidCo initially refused to track the £70 cashback so I went MAD. They're tracking it now, hopefully everything will come out smoothly.
 - I've done 13 extra hours this week, and it's really taken toll on my schedule. I'm behind in everything! But at least I can take 2 days off soon.
 - Bees in the conservatory have definitely reduced in numbers!
 - Cumbria hotel people finally got back to me! We have it all booked up. September 1st... our 3rd wedding anniversary!
So things are sort-of turning around. We're thinking about trying for the joint account again. It would help immensely with tracking the finances. I'm just so worried about being rejected & it lowering our credit score.

Did the week's food shop tonight. £17, not bad. Have just under £500 left to last the month. Have to:
 - pay about £100 to bills
 - finish the garage
 - pay for camping trip
 - buy Mum's 40th present
 - food/petrol for rest of month
