Apologies I seem to have been unclear. I have not been waiting 5 years for NHS treatment merely the issue became apparent ~5 years ago. Without going into detail as it's rather complex I've tried all my GP's suggested solution(s). I've run out of patience so I'd like to go the private route even though that means selling.
WTC is a mine field. I have no fixed income, employer, hours, duration nor rate of pay. I think it's more focussed/manageable with permanent employees on low income. TBH it baffles me ... why not just set a higher tax threshold instead?0 -

Just a thought why not get your gp to refer you to a specialist consultant this will probably cost around £150,but you can then be treated on the NHS often jumping the queue and also seeing the same consultant on the NHS after the initial paid appointment
like i said just a thought,as its something i did a few years ago,and within 3 months of paying privately i was under one of the countrys top people for my problems on the nhs0 -
Nah I'll save the cash and do it private. Although I feel for the NHS and all those that don't have the same options I think I'll lessen any burden on the NHS and me by paying upfront :shrugs:
