boltblue unwanted texts

I've had an unsolicited text (a "FreeMsg") from boltblue inviting me to join for £3 per week to receive tones. It says I can opt out by replying STOP to 85233. I don't see why I should opt out if I've never opted in!!! If I don't reply will I receive any more texts? If I do receive further texts will I be charged for them?
Thanks in advance

DONT reply it will alert them your mob no is valid. the same thing happened to me, they got my number from the net from a form which is dodgy. if they havent charged you for that message then do nothing, mine stopped after 3 messages and i was not charged. you dont need to send stop as you havent subscribed, but i know its worrying. if you ever get charged in the future please look at http://www.grumbletext.co.uk/

    hope that helps, L.

I get a message everyday from BoltBlue, I never ordered this service. If I put money onto my phone eveb though I don't order ringtones, the balance goes down at an alarming rate. I have only ever read bad reviews along the lines I have experienced. I can't think of any way of getting rid of Boltblue apart from changing my phone, which I don't want to do. Has anyone any ideas?

Last night I did what Grumbletext advised and replied to the boltblue message saying stop now - it didn't work, so today when I got the message, I replied and said stop - and it worked!!!! Thank you very much Pumpa

Dunno - it will have cost you a fortune if it was an 0845:(/0870:cry:/0871:eek: number - a fortune which will have gone straight into their pockets.
Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.
