Sterling ISA Managers Limited - Potected?

Hi, this maybe a stupid question - so I apologise in advance. I have an stocks and shares ISA with Sterling ; do they attract any financial protection from the FSA or similar? Obviously Ive seen all the advice re savings accounts at £35k, just wondered if there was a similar scheme for this type of product.

Many thanks in advance- Lee

Nothing attracts financial protection from the FSA. It comes from the FSCS.

Obviously, the Sterling ISA is not a deposit so it is not protected under the deposit protection scheme run by the FSCS. However, it is protected under the investments protection part of the FSCS. Although it is largely irrelevent as Sterling are a fund supermarket and your investments are ring fenced and not owned by Sterling. If they failed, a new manager would be appointed.
