Well, as a Premier account customer I do get my own 'personal' account manager, the fragrant Jasmine, (no doubt shared with heaven knows how many others).
She has always been on hand to sort out any little issues, but they've always been minor ones anyway. :T
Reminds me, I must check to make sure she hasn't been a victim of the round of job cuts HSBC announced recently. Life wouldn't be the same without 'my' Jasmine.
Dave.
She'll be fine. The job cuts have been back office staff, mostly at Canary Wharf in the UK. Premier hasn't been affected by it at all, as far as I'm aware, other than to see an influx of new customers wanting to diversify their cash holdings a little

HSBC is not the biggest player in the UK market, but it is the largest bank on he UK Stock Market.
It's a massive organisation that actually got stuffed early on by sub-prime via its Household division in the USA.
Wonder if they packaged up any remaining debt and sold it on quick?0 -

We have premier a/c with HSBC also. I used to think that the £50k min. holding wasn't worth the benefits offered. I am reconsidering this ATM.
I agree that their internet banking is the dogs testicles. In case you hadn't already worked it out - the entire global financial system is predicated on the assumption that you're an idiot:cool:0 -
if HSBC go bust then we had better start getting ready to barter chickens for sheep.0

I wonder how many chicken and sheep are covered by the FSCS guarantee (Farmers' Sales Casualty Scheme) ?
