  • My son gets his creative talents from me! But he is a pain when he gets hold of a crayon! I can get it off of most surfaces but this week he found a wall to draw on when I turned my back for 5 mins!! I can not seem to get it off - PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME A MAGIC WAY :D PLEASE!!

I have tried washing it off but the crayon stays on and the paint comes off. I have tried using a rubber that you would use for pencil marks - this has made it look less obvious but the wall would still need repainting :o I thought I would ask on here before we redecorate ready for him to just do the same again (.....in a few months when he is allowed the crayons back! they are hidden at the mo! :rotfl:)

    Thank you

    Hi money saving diva,

There's an earlier thread with some ideas that may help so I've added your post to it to keep the suggestions together. I hope you manage to clean it off the walls.

    Hi,

My "darling" nearly 5 year old has decided to redecorate my living room door with wax crayon

The door is glossed white. Is there any way I can get the wax crayon off without damaging the paint? x
  • Spray with hairspray and wipe with a soft cloth. Sounds weird but trust me!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Shelley - the hairspray should work :)

I'll merge this later with getting crayon marks off walls

Let us know if it works :)

awww - budding graffiti artist is she? dont blame you - not all cars can boast original artwork on the interior!!!
dunno whats the matter with men!!! they dont appreciate art at all when it comes to automobiles - unless its a custom paint job on the OUTSIDE!:rotfl:
  • Well what can I say.....Thank You....Thank You to whomever it was that originally posted about the toothpaste to remove crayon from painted wall.
Whilts trying to have a conversation on the phone with my friend ive not spoken to in months my daughter crayoned on the white wall of the lounge with RED crayon. I only painted it a few months ago!!!
I googled how to get rid of crayon and up popped this thread and the toothpaste does work.......I was utterly amazed. I got one of her dry muslin cloths and my tube of tootpasted and gently rubbed in a circular motion and it just instantly disappeared before my eyes.
Absolutely amazing. I would try this option first before any of the others as I tried the hairspray first along with soapy water and that didn`t get any of it off at all.

Dread to think whats in toothpaste if it gets crayon of the wall that easy...lol
