tiscali wont let me dial up

i have been trying to dial up all day and when it is verifying username and password, it keeps coming up invalid user name and/or password, checked all my settings and set up a new connection to make sure and they are all correct, that didn't work so i phoned tiscali at 50p a min for them just to do the same. please help.

Random non-availability is a feature of Tiscali's service.....happens all the time.

i went through the new connection wizard and did everything the same as always, the phone number is right, as well as my user name, passwork ect. and then the operator on the tech line did exactly the same, just left them an email explaining that i refuse to phone them because of their prices and if it is not sorted i will be leaving, although thats not true, i would if they wern't so cheap

Two of my friends who are both fairly new to Tiscali have also had terrible trouble trying to get into emails and on to the the web over the last couple of days. I am also on Tiscali and its been painfully slow on and off for about a week. Guy at Tiscali told my friend it wasn`t her pc and that there was a "network" problem. She finally got out of him that there was a problem between Tiscali and BT, lets hope they sort it out soon!

so that explains why mine is so slow, i have been doing all sorts of scans on my comp and laptop to see if they had virus's god i can't cope not being able to get on

I have had problems getting on line aswel-don.t know if it was just a fluke but I tried going through MSN internet explorer and managed to get connected that way rather than just clicking on tiscali.I.m not very up on computers as you can probably gather.

Ahhhh - that old chestnut - if a new Tiscali modem doesnt solve your problem, then "lets blame good old BT" usually works.

Avoid Tiscali like the plague - see my recent posts on the Cheapest Broadband provider discussion sticky thread. There are more complaints about Tiscali than any other provider
