Ok, I just the last first, sneaky devil, one of those names showed up in my favourites! Something I haven't seen and NOT in my favourite lists as I was actually sorting them out just a short while ago. I have deleted it and will reboot now and see if it goes this time!

waddie...try spyware doctor (free/starter edition) and then superantispyware...both available free from www.majorgeeks.com

should sort you out....

run full sd scan, ensuring to go into settings/scan settings and ensure the rootkit optin is checked before you set it off....fix anything it finds, then run ccleaner's registry tool...if that don't pick it up, repeat but with superantispyware...hope it works for you

OKay I will get to these tomorrow, as I have to get some sleep lol. Been a long day as you can imagine.

Thanks for all your suggestions and help. Keep them coming if you like.

If its stuck in my favourites folder (a rootkit I presume), I will see if these can remove them, or I will reformat.

I couldn't do the scan (AVG) in Safe Mode.

I have just completed Spyware Doctor (full scan) and rebooted. Trojan not appearing to pop up!

(It found four things, 2 old and in favourites, where a search had found them). I rebooted again and id didn't pop up again.

I want to run GER and Kaspersky as I am still suspicious its still hiding lol.

Any thoughts, ideas, Suggestions? (Particularly, if you think I am safe or not).

I just wouldnt worry about it to be honest
If it was sending information OUT, then your firewall would have stopped it in its tracks
But by all means, have a go with as many scanners as you wish (halt AVG from running though if they are RESIDENT scanners)
I certainly wouldnt be wiping the computer and starting afresh anyways

Ok, I have run GER, Spyware Doctor and Kaspersky and the doctor and Kaspersky found things and after I ran Spyware Doctor and since, no more Trojan pop ups. I hope it’s sorted now.

It’s nice to see people trying to help, rather than people who use, hackers who abuse, cheaters in games and so on taking advantage.

There has been about five or six people who have posted and I would like to thank each of you with £1 million! As I don’t have £5 or £6 million, may I offer my thanks instead.

I will let you know if this occurs again and once again thanks.

You could also type msconfig into your start search banner then click on the startup tab & check to see if the trojan is running onstartup, if so just untick the box & reboot.
