a very silly q here ... but am i meant to inform slc that i am earning below the threshold every year? how do i go about it ? i have sporadically paid back my student loan when i have had spare money but only earn 10k per annum so am no where near the threshold for paying ... i just assumed ( wrongly it seems) that i wouldnt HAVE to pay my loan off until i earned 15k and that the money would come out of my wages kinda like tax
i live in Scotland if that makes any difference0 -

there are two types of student loans
those prior to 1998 or 9 and those after
they have different rules
if you is a more recent one then no, you don't pay anything until you earn 15k pa (or 1250 per month) and you don't need to tell them you are earning less than 15k.0 -
Thanks that helps0
