Is this horseinhatman Mr. "Pickles" Greenshoots in disguise per chance? In my absence I seem to have lost track of who's who. I'm rather disappointed to see that both Mr. Greenshoots and also Mr. Broderick seem to left have us, which is not good as I've no-one to take the !!!! out of now .

I agree that horsesarseman was a pest, but no more than the other idiots on MSE. I do know that the policy on MSE is that if enough people complain then the (overworked) mods simply delete that person or set them to PPR status. Surely this is open to abuse, especially when one runs foul of the 'bear gang'.

It just seems to me that if you write a load of alarmist claptrap about "sell your houses before we have 60% average house price falls", "the end of Western Civilisation is nigh", We'll all be moved to death camps", then there are no ramifications.

If you make a few (equally absurd) posts saying that we've reached the bottom, that people should buy houses quickly or be priced out of the market, then you're banned and all your posts are deleted.

It stinks, to be quite honest.

I didn't read the "Crash Crash Crash" thread (because it appeared nonsense from the title) but just have, and I'd agree it's the same kind of thing. But to be fair it appears he got as much "stop talking nonsense" responses as the horseprat guy.

I supppose, to answer your point, that the "crash crash crash" threads don't garner as much stick because they are at least pointing the right way (ie, they're hopelessly exaggerated, but at least exaggereated forms of what is acually happening, rather than stating the exact opposite of what's happening). So they don't, in amongst all the other doom, catch the eye as much.

Not saying that's right, but probably answers the question as to why they don't cause quite as much furore.
