PAYG with internet ?

I'm coming to the end of my t-mobile contract and have decided to get a PAYG instead. I don't need a phone as my N95 is fine, but I want a PAYG tariff that allows me to buy 1Gb for data every now and then (or maybe 100 Mb per month). Can anyone help ?

  • Try Asda mobile. 20p/mb data charge, - ie 10mb £2, 100mb £20 etc...

I don't think you necessarily need the modem deal from 3.

They also have internet add-ons for phone use, daily, weekly, up to £5 for a month, and this includes 1 or 2GB fair use. They may restrict some use of this, e.g no VoIP calls (?), but you'd need to hear from people who've used it as to what they might be.

You pay £1 per day for unlimited* access, or £2.50 for 5 days unlimited* access:

Option 1: Add web'n'walk to your plan on My T-Mobile

    Pay as you go

Pay as you go customers can add the web'n'walk 5 day for £2.50.

To buy text WEB to 441.

You'll then receive a text telling you that you can start browsing. On the last day of your pass we'll send you another text to let you know that your pass will expire at midnight.

    Option 2: Browse right now on a web'n'walk £1 a day rate

If your phone has a web'n'walk icon in the main menu or at the bottom of its screen, you can browse the internet and email as much as you like and the most you'll pay is £1 per day.

Did you join us before 1 December 2006?

If you did, just text YES to 3064 (free of charge) to make sure you get the £1 a day rate.
Ignore the bit about if your phone has a web'n'walk icon on the main menu - all you need is your phone configured with the T-Mobile connection settings for it to work.

    *Subject to fair use (40Mb/day):

Alternatively, if that's not enough data allowance, then you could try and get their new PAYG mobile broadband tariff by following the steps from the last entry on the comments page of this news article:

    http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/09/25/t_mobile_prepaid_broadband/

3, Orange, and Vodafone also now cap at £1/day on PAYG for around 25-40Mb of data usage.
