they really do think it is wealth that they have.

They are to stupid to see that it is made and taken away by other people the market makers.

Many years ago I used to know a bloke who I nic-named shlt for brains

This was back in the 80's boom he on a weekly basis used to regale me with how much his house was worth this week. I was 18 years old and still even with all that inexperience used to think but you will never actually get to use a penny of it or spend 1 single quid of it.

he died at 50 having seen not one single penny of it and used not single quid.

He like many others just spent a misserable existence thinking he had something yet he never really did.

the people of this country are weird
    I hate them all!
So sorry could not resist why do I need to see a single penny ?I own the house so I do not care what it is worth ,but it is a lovely feeling sat here in front of the fire knowing that I owe not a penny to any one , it is no palace just a very modest 2 bed terrace that I worked hard for , but no landlord or bank can take it ,security is of more value to me than what it is worth .
  • blisk is gleeful because he doesn't own a house, doesn't have shares and doesn't have much savings. Hhe probably has a low level government job or no job at all.

When you have nothing, you have nothing to lose, hence his glee at other people's misfortunes.

The amusing thing is that even if most people do lose 50% on their house value and 50% on their pensions and investments and a proportion of their savings through redundancy - when it's all said and done, they'll still be better off than blisk. I know I will be! :rotfl:[/quote

not everyone that has no job is an idiot
i have no job as am raising my two children and will return when they start school

i have no house, no savings but do feel sad/sick for all the people that do have all of the above and risk loosing the lot, as the people that do have all of the above are obveiosly hard working people, i think that there should be some government help for them i always say that there is never enough help for people that work and try to better them self when times get hard and its wrong

please dont shoot me down for posting but not all jobless people are heartles individuals although i agree there are a good majority of them out there:o

I've been trying to find the graph that showed house prices and income multiples (2 separate lines, same x and y axis) I've searched this forum and HPC forum but I can't find it. It was definitely on one these forums. I've searched google but the graphs I've found confused me.

Don't know the graph you refer to, however you could use this as one resource

  • Heres one for the doomers. In a bear market the trend is always down even through a rally, this is the possibility here:

Landlords generally don't do compassion. They are only interested in capital appreciation and "mugs" paying off their mortgage who'll never be able to get on "the ladder" cause landlords can MEW and buy a new property at further inflated values.
